OK, We're On Mexican Time
3/15/14
The predicted semi-overcast for today is running a little late (hey, this is Mexico remember...:^). It's still coming onshore, and those of you staying on upper floors may see it as cloud bank way, way out on the horizon. The heavier clouds that count are at the back end of this mini-front, and may not get to Maz until tomorrow on Sunday.
Here's a link to an infrared satellite camera that distinguishes water vapor in the air. When you click on it you'll see a heavier section of clouds (which shows up as a more dense and lighter color of white) is headed straight for Central American. Then the upper section of the moisture that will affect Maz (which looks more like a light gray color) is spinning at about a 30 degree angle to the Northeast and breaking up.
Look to the west of this moisture and you'll notice it's rather clear all the way to, and then even well past the Hawaiian Islands. Once we get through this oncoming section of clouds, that distant weather will end up bringing clear skies for Mazatlan until the end of next week. Enjoy!
