You don’t have to be an athlete to enjoy this year’s Marathon taking place in Mazatlan November 30 to December 1.
Organizers have planned a Carrera de la Alegria for children with special needs on December 1 at 5pm, a turtle release on the beach in front of the seal monument on November 30 at 5pm, and a spectacular fireworks display that evening along the Malecon.
For everyone’s listening pleasure, 25 bands will be playing along the Malecon spaced two kilometers apart on both days of the marathon.
To date, 10,900 athletes have registered for the event and organizers expect to reach the 12,500 maximum number of participants by race day.
