The cruise ship Statendam of the Holland America line has chosen Mazatlan
over Topolobampo to visit in December.
Director General of the port administration, Alfonso Gil Diaz, said he was advised by the cruise line that it had cancelled its visit to Topolobampo and instead will be docking in Mazatlan on December 11, the first time the ship has visited the port in three years. The Statendam was not programmed to visit Mazatlan this year and Gil Diaz attributed the arrival to the confidence the Holland America line has in the port after the successful visit of its cruise ship Veendam earlier this month.
