Sinaloa Secretary of Tourism, Francisco Córdova Celaya, said on
Saturday that his government has asked for 22 million pesos from the
Federal government to invest in different tourism projects in the State
in 2014, and 20 million of those pesos are destined for improvements of
Mazatlán´s Golden Zone.
Among the renovation projects are the installation of entrance archways, building facades, new walkways to the beach, sidewalk repairs, cobblestones and underground cabling.
If the projects are approved, said the Secretary, they expect to begin work in May.
