Pacífico beer, which originated in Mazatlán, is considered Number One in the
Top Ten major beers of the world according to an evaluation, study and ranking
of the firm FindTheBest. The company gathers comments of consumers and experts
on the Web worldwide.
In a press release, the Sinaloa Secretary of Tourism indicated the FindTheBest Top Ten ranking was published on the Yahoo! Finance internet page. Following Pacifico in first place were Michelob and Ballentine (USA), Negra Modelo (Mexico), Windhoek (Namibia), Aguila (Columbia), Smithwick´s (Ireland), Affligem Bonde (Belgium), Laurentina (Mozambique) and Michelob Ultra (USA), in that order.
The Pacífico brewery was launched in Mazatlán at the beginning of the 20th century and began exporting to the United States in 1985. The beer occupies 15th place in American preferences of imported beers.
The most important quality of a beer is its taste, said CEO of FindTheBest, Kevin O´Connor. However, the experience of drinking a beer includes various other secondary elements including the appearance, smell and texture, he added.
