Liverpool Opens in Marina Mazatlán

With an investment of 392.5 million pesos ($29.8 million) and the creation of 400 direct jobs, Liverpool opened its doors in the Marina Mazatlán where it will become the anchor store of a new commercial development in the area. The inauguration was attended by Governor Mario López Valdez and other public officials.
The general manager of the Mazatlán Liverpool store, Jorge Salgado, said that in November of this year they could be inaugurating the Plaza Galleries with additional capital of 600 million pesos ($45.6 million).
Fábricas de Francia located in La Gran Plaza will close with the inauguration of the Liverpool store in the Marina with a thousand parking spaces.
Governor Mario López Valdez said that the opening of Liverpool in Mazatlán sends a positive signal to prospective investors that Sinaloa is a “land of opportunities.” The Liverpool store in the Marina area is the 94th store for the retail chain that is 165 years old and has more than 50,000 employees.  The Liverpool store will provide an estimated 800 indirect jobs.
