José Ramón Manguart Sánchez, President of the Three Islands Hotel Association, said for the long weekend celebrating the Mexican Revolution hotel occupancy rates, especially for those hotels located on Avenida del Mar, are running in excess of 95 percent.
He noted that a number of packages and promotions help drive the hotels’ occupancy rates.
Manguart Sanchez said most of the national tourists who arrived in the city by car came from the states of Durango, Coahuila, Chihuahua, as well as municipalities such as Culiacán and Ahome.
When the holiday period ends on Monday, he said the occupancy rates will fall to around 40 percent and remain close to that until the winter season begins next month.
